Medical graduates are usually are good in medical academics, clinics, patient care & research. But they lack modern management skills and later in their medical practice face difficulty in complying with statutory regulations, they lack in Human Resource management, Logistics/Pharmacy/Inventory management, leadership skills, Legal issues, conflict resolutions, communications & Financial management. These are key roles Students should be familiar with fundamental concepts in management and finance in addition to treatment. AIIMS has planned this policy, considering the changing times and requirements. The AIIMS faculty members strongly opine that these key management/entrepreneur skills will assist them in their career growth. Imbibing of these skills will make their career smooth sailing in establishing hospitals/nursing homes.
