What You Need to Know?
Tooth avulsion is when a tooth gets knocked out of mouth. This can happen due to accidents, sports injuries, or even falls. When it happens, it’s important to act fast to give the tooth the best chance of.
What to Do If a Tooth Is Knocked Out??
- Find the Tooth: Pick it up by the crown (top part), not the root. Avoid touching the root to protect the cells needed for reattachment of tooth
- Clean the Tooth: If the tooth is dirty, rinse it gently with water, but don’t scrub it. You can also try to put the tooth back in its place, but do it carefully. If this isn’t possible, place the tooth in a glass of milk or coconut water.
- Get to a Dentist Quickly: Time is key! The sooner you get to a dentist, the better the chances of saving the tooth. Ideally, you should see a dentist within 30 minutes to 1 hour after the tooth is knocked out.
- Reinsert the Tooth: If possible, place it back into its place, facing the right way. Bite gently on a clean cloth to hold it in place.

Treatment for Tooth Avulsion
