Amidst the dark clouds of COVID 19 hovering all over, there are many streaks of silver linings along with it. There is no doubt that COVID 19 pandemic has caused colossal damage to the economy setting its downward spiral movement. However, this pandemic has taught valuable lessons to mankind the world over. People are awakened to the adage “health is wealth”.

There have been radical changes in lifestyle, food habits and all daily chores in general. Craving for junk food and high-calorie diet is lost, instead, consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables and adopting healthy habits has risen. Response for immunity-boosting food items and the desire to perform mental and physical exercises has seen a surge. Inclination towards hygiene, sterilization and sanitization has seen a steep increase than ever before.

Spiritual orientation and outlook are strengthened. Access to the internet has also become a basic necessity, which could promote digital literacy, Demand for online education and online products has skyrocketed. Which eventually has many benefits like access to foreign education, certification courses, and skill enhancement programs from the comfort of the home, Work from home option (WFH) has helped reduce air pollution and traffic snarls to.

Real estate prices have plummeted in tier I cities making the need for housing relatively affordable than before. As goes the saying “adversity triggers creativity” has stood true to its testament, as there have been sweeping changes in healthcare, personal care, manufacturing, education and many more only for betterment due to COVID19.

So-called crown of God’s creation Human being has realised his limitations and is subdued by nature’s fury, and he looks vulnerable, hapless & helpless and waits for an epiphany to rescue him. His over ambition to conquer the world stands annihilated, May we as a whole understand that we should safeguard nature and pay appreciation to Mother Nature by living in concordance with her to escape from her rage. May we likewise understand that we are just one of her creations born on this planet to co-exist with other creatures and not to prove supremacy over her other creations, albeit intelligent and gifted with an ability to reason.
