Nurse’s day was celebrated at Tilakwadi’s CentraCare Super-specialty Hospital with enthusiasm and joy. The event highlighted the indispensable role nurses play in the healthcare ecosystem.
Dr. Neeta Deshpande, the Medical Director of CentraCare Hospital, eloquently stated, “If doctors are the heart of the hospital, then nurses are the soul of the healthcare delivery system.” She emphasized the contributions Nurses in patients’ swift recovery and lauded them as the backbone and vital team members of the hospital, asserting that no hospital could thrive without their dedicated services.
Dr. Deshpande further acknowledged the nursing profession’s commitment to continuous learning and improvement, praising the CentraCare nurses for their “yeomen services with care & compassion.” She reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment in providing high-quality medical services at an affordable prices, infused with a human touch. She encouraged the nurses to cultivate happiness and share it with patients and their families.

Adding to the insightful discussions, Dr. Anand Sankal, a Senior Physician, delivered a talk on the importance of hand hygiene in health care setting. He presented evidence underscoring hands as the primary source of infection within hospital settings and effectively demonstrated proper hand-washing techniques crucial for minimizing infections. The program concluded with an entertainment program organized by the nurses. Anita, Priyanka, Pooja, Shivaleela & over 60 nurses took part in the celebration along with hospital administrators and support staff. Mr. Wilson, Senior Nurse of the hospital compered the event.
