The construction of Government Super Multi Specialty Hospital at the Civil Hospital premises at a cost of Rs 140 crore will be completed in the next four months said MLA Anil Benake when he inspected the project site lately.
The construction of Government Super Multi Specialty Hospital at BIMS Campus was inspected today by AB Patil, Director, BIMS along with contractors and officials.
The Construction of the hospital was started in 2018 but due to the pandemic the work is behind schedule but significant work has been completed by now.
The hospital building is a four storied building.
First floor – Department of Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Indo Chronology.
Second floor – Gastrology, Nephrology, Surgical Gastrology departments.
Third floor – VIP Rooms and the General Room
Fourth floor – Operation Theaters.
Also the Super Multi Specialty Hospital will be completed in four months. During the discussions with the contractor and the engineer, the work will be completed by August, the work should be completed on time.
The Maternal and Children’s Hospital, Labour Ward, Trauma Center and Nursing College will also be started in the next three months.
The hospital will be free for patients from all over Goa and Maharashtra.
After inspecting the hospital, he had a meeting with Regional Commissioner Shri Amalan Aditya Biswas. He demanded that 2 floors should be completed in 3 months and then the remaining 2 floors should be completed in 5 months. Regional Commissioner Shri Amalan Aditya Biswas responded positively to this demand.
