Doctors are best as professional, but once it comes to their hand writing it is simply unimaginable in majority of the cases. Other Doctors, Patients, even Pharmacist struggle to understand their hand writing. Doctors scribble prescriptions in making it impossible for patients to decode what is written. Tech giant Google is up in arms with its tech tools like Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) to provide solutions to decode doctors handwriting.
The prototype still in research stage is working to find solutions for hurried scribbles of the doctors. The prototype will take a pic of the prescription advised by doctors and converts into digitalized format and provides output to patient/pharmacist.
However, no decision will be made solely based on the output provided by this technology, the Google said in a statement. It needs to be seen how far the technology provide solutions to this age old problem. It also needs to be seen whether, it fulfil the Indian regulations. The product is yet to be launched.
