In a glittering ceremony, the social-cultural organization Giants Group (Main) Belgaum branch felicitated DR. BASAVARAJ A BIJJARGI, on 16th July at Giants Hall, Kapileshwar Road, Belagavi.
Dr.Bijjargi is a multi-faceted personality, he is a hospital administrator, clinician, singer, anchors programs, mimicry artist, and acted in a couple of Marathi movies, and an active member of IMA, Belagavi.
He was felicitated by Giants President Shivkumar Hiremath, Chief Guest of the function Madhu Belgaumkar and member Anant Lad for his active participation as a front-line COVID warrior & fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Bijjargi’s medical, and humanitarian support extended in flood-hit areas of Chikkodi and surrounding years was also highlighted.
Dr. Bijjargi is serving as Administrator of Trauma Care & Emergency Medical Services (TC & EMS) EMS & Operation Theatre (OT) services at KLEs Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC, Belgaum.

Dr Bijjajargi is alumnus of Govt. Medical College, Miraj. He did his PG Ortho at prestigious Dr. G.S.Kulkarni, Miraj and took F.A.I.M.S: Fellowship of All India Medico Society where he secured a Gold Medal. He is specialized in Medical Laws and Bioethics and P.G.Diploma In Hospital Management. He started his career as a Private practioner at M/S.Bijjargi Orthopaedic & Accident Hospital, Jath, Maharashtra. from 1995 to 2004. Further, he served as Administrator TC & EMS; Asst. Administrator-Clinical Services-KLES Hospital, Belgaum – a Multi-Speciality Hospital from 2004 till 2009. Afterwards he joined as Medical Director & CEO at Gopal Jinagouda Bharatesh Homoeopathic College, Belgaum till 2011.Then he worked as Zonal Head Operations-North Karnataka-(Hubli, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Gadag) at Vaatsalya Healthcare-(400 Beds)- Multi Speciality Hospital (P & L) till 2013. Further he worked as General Manager-Medical Service-HCG Bangalore-Cancer Hospital for one year. Again he was appointed as Centre Head- Sr. General Manager-HCG Double Road, Bangalore(88 Beds) (P&L) and Associate Vice President-Clinical Services-HCG Suchirayu Multispeciality Hospital, Hubli till 2019.
