Renowned actor Padmashri Nana Patekar & Sabhaji Bhide Guruji inaugurated the CentraCare Hospital in Tilakwadi, Belagavi on 29th June, 2025. Immediately after inauguration, Nana Patekar in his address at Shagun Garden emphasized the supremacy of humanity and core human values over caste, creed, and religion. He urged people to surpass parochial thinking and prioritize community welfare.
In his inaugural speech, Nana Patekar called upon the medical fraternity and businessmen to not solely pursue financial gain. “Money is essential, keep it for yourself, but spend the excess amount on the needy and for the welfare of the community,” he stated. He cited the example of Anna Bhide Misalwala of Pune, who “does not just sell Misal but serves the people with love, affection and treats customers with warmth and respect.”
Patekar also expressed deep concern over the distress faced by the farming community, burdened by debt due to unseasonal rains and droughts. He strongly advocated for cluster farming as a means to foster growth for small farming communities. Quoting the analogy of dialysis machines purifying blood, he advised society to emulate a pure thought process. He also highlighted the powerful connection theater offers compared to cinema. He concluded by urging doctors to “worship their profession” and expressed hope for affordable healthcare for all sections of society. Getting old is the biological phenomenon but he said never get tired in pursuit to your life goal.
